2010

January 2009 was the time we received the confirmation that we were coming to Madagascar... and here we are, on January 1st 2010, on the other side of the world. From our living room window we are contemplating a whole different view...

Last night we counted down 3 hours before our family and friends back home! Outside we could hear Ambositra celebrating: loud music, people chatting in the streets until the wee hours of the morning. We were surprised to hear the usual buzz this morning at 7am. Sleeping in is not common practice here :-(

We have been in Madagascar for 4 months, almost halfway into our trip. On July 1st, we will be heading back to good ol' London. Until then, we have a lot yet to see, to learn, to share in this country. We wish you all a blessed New Year! En Janvier 2009 nous recevions la confirmation que nous viendrions à Madagascar... et nous voilà au 1er Janvier 2010, à l'autre bout du monde. De notre salon, c'est une toute autre vue que nous admirons...

La nuit dernière nous avons fait le compte à rebours 2 heures avant la famille et les amis français. Dehors, Ambositra était en fête: la musique résonnait et les gens papotaient dans les rues jusqu'aux petites heures du matin. Comprenez notre étonnement lorsqu'à 7 heures du matin, nous fûmes sorti de nos beaux rêves par le bourdonnement de la vie qui avait repris son cours. La grasse mat', y connaissent pas trop ici :-(

Nous sommes à Madagascar depuis maintenant 4 mois et arrivons bientôt à la moitié de notre voyage. Le 1er Juillet, nous reprendrons l'avion pour Londres. D'ici là, nous avons encore beaucoup à voir, à apprendre et à partager dans ce pays.

Nous vous souhaitons une année riche en bénédictions ! Que notre père céleste vous guide et vous garde et que vous ayez de la joie à vivre les aventures que vous apportera cette nouvelle année. Amusez-vous bien !

p.s. Ca fait des mois qu'on vous écrit en vert... on en a marre du vert ! Alors cette année on change de couleur... c'est notre première résolution ! On espère que ça vous plaît ;-)
