Merry Christmas! / Joyeux Noël !

Here we are, in Ambositra, spending our first Christmas far from the family... this year we have traded the snow and heavy winter coats for warm weather and lychees.

For Christmas eve, with our neighbours and a few students from the Adventist University of Sambaina we enjoyed a lovely Zebu barbecue, salad etc. and cookies for dessert.

By midnight, 4 of us were still standing (out of the 8 present). We are still up... drinking hot chocolate and waiting for the Malagasy Santa...

Nous voilà à Ambositra, passant notre premier Noël loin des nôtres... et cette année nous avons échangés la neige et les gros manteaux d'hiver contre la chaleur et les litchis.

Pour la veillée de Noël, nos voisins et quelques étudiants de l'Université Adventiste de Sambaina se sont joints à nous pour faire la fête! Au menu, brochettes de zébu, salades... et cookies en déssert.

A minuit, seuls 4 d'entres nous (nous étions 8 au départ) résistions encore au sommeil. Nous sommes encore debouts... on boit du chocolat chaud et on attend de voir passer le Père Noël Malgache...
